Default CRV motor's

What's up everyone? I got a 92 Civic EX 4 Door, and was thingking of going CRV VTEC. Does anyone have any opinion's on if that's a good idea or not? I need the torque to pull my heavy *** car, and it just seems like the best bang for the buck. Would anyone also know where I can find a CRV motor in good condition? I have ran out of site's to check out. I am located in hawaii so something near California side would be great! Feel free to im me on aim/aol at: crazeone69

Default Re: CRV motor's (part_hook_ups)

i would personally go GSR before I do a half-*** job with the b20 turning it into a VTEC motor. I suggest keeping it non-vtec and adding some crower cams and other goodies. tranny wise GSR or Type R or B16A with LSD will improve performance with bolt ons only 145whp and 135lb.ft of torque is not hard enough.

with vtec head onto a stock b20b/z block 155-170whp and 125-130lb./ft of torque can usually be registered, just keep the rev limit to about 7800rpm
