Default CRV Head on A LS Block

Would A B20 Head bolt up to and B18B block, and if its possible it would have alot of displacemnt right. Also would all Parts from a B-series head work on the CRV head.

B18B head = B20B/Z head no difference at all, same port size, all the same
bottom end on the other hand is different 84mm vs 81mm for b18b

i sold a kid my b20 head for his ls (while he ports and polishes the ls head), but it's kinda of pointless to swap although it does work..........

Maybe I read this wrong but are you assuming that changing an LS head to a CRV head will increase your displacement? If you honestly think that, then right now I have a really bad urge to flame you, but maybe your just a newbie so i'll be nice...the cylinder head from the b20 is identical to the b18b1, the b20 is even given a shittier intake manifold...the only reason it puts out the horsepower that it has is from the 2.0L of displacement. Dont waste your time and just put a VTEC head on that LS block.

Thaks for help ya'll I was unaware a B20 Head was the smae as a B18B head. I am not too familiar with that particular honda engine. Thanks for clearing that up. But one other question do they make forged B20 pistons or could I use Forged ITR pistons

B20 Bore size is 84mm

B18 Bore size is 81mm

If you plan on B20 pistons.......sigh, there is a lot behind this......do a search for Compression ratio and find boganglez (sp?) CR calculator.

Actually, the B20 head and B18B head have different part numbers. My 1995 B18B has a PR4 head. But my 2000 B20Z has a P75 head. I am not sure what the exact differences are.

the USDM b20 that we typically see around here is the b20b....this uses the same head as the b18b...if you got a b20z from japan then it might have a different head on it cause the JDM b20 does have a bit more power

They probably had different part numbers because one was for an OBD 1 motor and the other was for an OBD 2 motor.
