Crower 402T Cam Question
Ok, So I go to a Honda Meet and I meet this kid who had a fully built LS, he had everything done to it, built bottom end, head and all. But he blew it up due to using weak valvetrain I guess, He sold me the Crower 402T cams that he had on the car, he said they only have around 60 miles on them, and they still do look pretty new. He gave me the spec card from Crower that they cam with when He bought them. He told me he had a spacial Grind made form Crower, that's why it says Grind number = Special on the spec card. SO I leave the cams for a ew weeks, and then I look at the spec sheet after learning more about cams and all. The lift on them is 301 Intake 301 Exhaust
the specs for the regular Crower 402T cams are 270 / 235. SO these cams are considerably larger than the regular 402-T cams. I cam going to go with the dual valve spring ti retainer setup on these, but is there any way I will blow my motor up with this big of a cam-s. I figure they should amke pretty good power, since they are pretty big, so I will be able to use them. BTW I will be running a Garrett T3/TO4E .48a/r exhaust .60 a/r compressor. Those are the specs on the turbo, the compressor I am not 100 percent positive on, but anyways, does anyone think it will blow with these cams!?

you wont blow the engine from agressive cams. no matter what the lift/duration is as long as you have good piston to valve clearence you will be fine.
the only thing you should be concerned about is the tuning.

I will be using Hondata S300 for tuning, because it is the most widely used, and for hte fact I don't know much about Crome or Crome Pro. I hear Crome Pro is MUCH cheaper than hondata and has more features, so if anyone would liek to explain that to me to that would be great. Well its a stock bottom end LS, SO i am not sure what the Piston to valve clearance would be. So u think it should be fine then!?
