Hey guys. I bought some GSR cams on eBay. They are in great shape but I immediately noticed that they have 3 rings, indicating that they are 92-93 GSR cams. I have searched a bit and cannot determine any differences between the two (B17A vs B18C1). Are these cams completely identical?

 

sell them an get b18c cams.....with those cams u won't really notice to much differance compared to say b16a cams....get real gsr cams....

 

if your looking for another set of "real" gsr cams i have a set im trying to get rid of and im in connecticut

 

according to what i have read there is no difference at all between jdm b16a, b17a, and b18c cams. the only comparisons i have been seeing are to b16a2 cams. other than that i have found nothing as far as specs are concerned.

i see:

Civic Si(1999 Spec)
Int-265 dur. / 10.5mm lift
Exh-267 dur. / 9.6mm lift

Integra GS-R
Int-274 dur. / 10.7mm lift
Exh-276 dur. / 9.6mm lift

but the specs for the civic si are a b16a2 (not a jdm b16a), so is there really any proof that there is a difference between the 3 cams mentioned above?

i don't know the exact specs on the b17 cams, but i can tell you i've mic'd them and some b16a cams and the b17's were def bigger.

I was at the point where I as wondering if it was even worth my time to switch out the cams while the head was sitting here in my office... so far this is the best input I have seen, and after some searching, it doesn't seem that there is any difference at all between the GSR cams. I guess it's official that they are the same until somebody out there can come up with some proven factual results...

I know this is way off subject, but I am completely drunk, and am proud of myself for even typing this out. You all have no idea how long this just took to type out, changing all my typos

 

does anyone know for sure if 92-93 GSR cams are different then 94+? I have done a lot of searching and have only come up with a lot of contrarian views.

thanks... this is very helpful, but my question is... are the lift and duration specs identical between the two?

 

according to this thread, my cams are 96+ GSR cams... should be a sticky
