Hi, are there any writeups or tutorials about how to tune with Crome? I have just downloaded the software but dont know where to start. I can get all the information about modding the ecu, etc from http://www.pgmfi.com but i need some information on how to actually use the software. The http://www.pgmfi.com Crome forum is more for specific problems, no general "how to" instructions.

Any help? Is it similar to tuning Hondata? Would reading tutorials like this http://www.importbuilders.com/tuning.html specifically help me with tuning with Crome?

Any advice, tips, links welcome

downloaded crome, ended up sticking with uberdata because crome wouldn't support p28 boost maps. get uberdata, EVERYBODY's using it (peer pressure man)

 

I just need a tuning tool for NA application. Will Uberdata meet my requirements?

 

yep. and if you wanna do any tuning you'll want a wideband o2 controller, an entry level one will run you around $300. its a stab in the dark without one, the narrowband o2 sensor isn't accurate enough for tuning. you could do simple stuff like advance timing, change vtec crossover, rev limiter, speed governor, etc. with the programs, but without a wideband o2 controller you could be hurting your power and not realize it. my 2 cents... i use a plx-m300 to tune mine, it cost right at $300 with a display and everything.

i definitely like the interface more, but i beg to differ on the support. there is no p06/p28 support and they have told me they never plan to add it.

 

Then what does he mean by "- Support for OBD1 P28, P30, P72 variant ROMs"? Or rather, what ECU's does it support?

I was refering to product support, IE a person behind the product who cares about it, and actively answers user's questions.

The P72 vs P30 code argument is a holy war that i'm not willing to get into.

 

and it is possible to run boost on a p28, just have to use a p30 base, and import p28 tables..
