Default crome link cable >>>> laptop

just a quick question H-T, im having my si tuned and im using a p28 with a crome map,

my tuner tells me i need a cable thats links from the zif socket into the laptop so he can start tuning,

i have no idea what this cable is called or where to get some info about it?!

the only thing that connects there would be a rom emmulator(ostrich, etc..) . It is more complicated than just a cable

is he talking about the hulog or hondalog cable and unit?

other than that what HA is saying is probably what he means... from what i have read Ostrich is THE ecu emulator...

that said he could tune with just datalogging, WB info, and EGT but it would be slower...

how does a tuner street tune using a laptop ?
how does he actually map, extract information from the ecu on the rr,

for real time street tuning hell need;

ttl to usb or serial to datalog ( like hulog or hondalog)
ostrich or some similar real time emulator
wideband

the emulator plugs to your stock 28 pin eprom socket and the datalog cable hooks up to your cn2 in the ecu
