Crazy sppedo needle
I already searched the forum for answers and i cant find the proper answer i have a problem with my sppedo needle jumping around like crazy and i cant figure it out i have a 2000 ex civic also my car hesitates alot throughout the whole rpm range and my lights get brighter when i rev it up all these things drive me nuts.
Check that alternator!!! if the lights are getting brighter it could be a bad voltage regulator and giving too much voltage this will kill everthing electrical very fast.

Mine did this when my VSS plug was loose. The part of the plug that snaps into place and holds the plug onto the sensor had broken off, and the connection was intermittent, thus making the speed read zero most of the time and occasionally 90 mph in 1st gear.

You can get the code manually by jumping the service check connector.
