Default crankshaft sensor different on gsr block?

I had a b16a from japan in my 96 ex and pulled it out to swap blocks with a b18c1 with type-r pistons, during this build i noticed a couple differences but the most disturbing was the fact that the b16 had a sensor next to the bottom gear for the T-belt thats behind the crank pulley. The problem part is how theres no place to mount said sensor on the b18 block and i dont know if i need it, im guessing if its there and was plugged in, that it was there for a reason anyone know anything here that may help shed some light?

obd2 requires teh CKF, Crank Fluctuation sensor. It will be found on almost all 96 up B and D series blocks. It sits on the oil pump, which is slightly diff from obd2 to 1 to account for the mounting of the sensor as well as sprocket with the pickup.
