Default Crank Scraper CONS

http://www.crank-scrapers.com/....html

While looking at the link posted above, it seems like a no-brainer. However, if they were so efficient at freeing up horsepower, why didnt high performance vehicles(think k20a - b18c) come with these from the factory? Can anyone forsee any problems caused by using these/had actual experience using them? Thanks in advance.

Its kinda PITA to install.

Might be easier when the engine is on a stand and out of the car.

Since you are fighting gravity, you have to hondabond the scraper to the block, while holding it with the oil pan bolts. Once it dries to the point of supporting itself, you can remove the bolts and bolt the pan back on.

Hopefully you don't get any leaks as you are relying on liquid gasket instead of a rubber one (like the stock oil pan), and hopefully if you ever have to remove the pan it doesn't losen and shift.
