Crank pulley and flywheel?
I have been told that on Honda engines, it may not be a very good idea to use both a lightened crank pulley and a lightened flywheel on a stock crankshaft. I've heard this may put too much pressure on the water pump as well. Can anyone inform me on this issue?
yeah its a very opinionated subject. you could probably find extensive detail via the search button but the main idea of it is that the motors are designed specifically so that the crankshaft is balanced on each end, to create the least stress on bearings, etc. and like i say, a search will uncover more details.
yea this has been debated many many times
there is no definitive answer,
some people swear by it
some people think it will explode the water pump/motor
my .02 is just go with the flywheel.

isnt it about the harmonic balancer?
is it safe to use a non-dampened crank pulley off a B16A on a B20B that came with a dampened crank pulley?

I dont believe that are any factory pulleys w/o the damper. Look harder its probably painted and/or old and hardend. I would go with just the lightened flywheel and use a factory crank pulley. Even still, I still have my own opinion of lightened flywheels. If you want to change the other pulleys, by all means feel free, but dont ditch the damper.
