crank pulley
Whats the best way to take the crank pulley off a d16z6? I've tried impact wrench, and sticking a screw driver between flywheel holes and bell housing. It's on way too tight. It's not reversed threaded is it/ Thanks...
oh yeah..... that thing is on hella tight.
the best way to do that is to use a 3/4" impact gun.
well that's what i use. i know many of the portable air compressors are not strong enough to loosen it. another way is to use a breaker bar with maybe a jack handle leverage and a pulley holder from a company called OTC. you can ask a mac tools truck for that tool

My compressor has 135 psi max-stand up craftsman 6 hp. I still think it's too weak though. How does that pulley holder work? does anybody else that you know of stock it. I work at Sears service Center, so I can get good discounts on craftsman stuff at the retail store. Do you know if Craftsman makes that? Thanks though for the info. Would it be a bad idea to stick a block between the inside of the block and a rod, to keep it from rotating? Thanks
