Cower Cams Part#63402 what if??? Please Help

Default Cower Cams Part#63402 what if??? Please Help

well rite now i got some cower cams for cheep price and i dont have the springs and retainers from crower.. rite now i have skunk2 valves, springs, and retainers and i was wondering if i threw in the crower cams in there and use them same skunk2 valves, springs, and retainers would i float a valve or would they work the same way.. i really need to know asap tonight cause tomorwor the shop is suppose to be putting them in for me. thanks

ususally 402's can be run stright up. With no springs or retainers and at stock redline. Its usually the 403's that need the retainers/spring combo. Could be wrong though.

My friend had them in his integra gsr and he ran them with stock stuff and broke a valve hard.. so i dont know about that.. but thanks for the info anybody else please help.. bump

you need the valvetrain.

I'm running the 63402's w/portflow inners and itr outers, this setup is flawless. I'm running os PCT pistons and the head I'm running has been milled .40 thou (yeah I'm still pissed at the machine shop for this one, head was perfect) so the piston to valve clearance is really tight. Had one over rev to 10k+ 5,000 miles ago and the valve train held up perfectly. I'm very happy.

so anybody else know about this stuff. and thanks for the info i will do this tomorwor but i want alittle more info before. cant afford to mess my valves up need my everyday drive for work to home...
