Default counting teeth?

Does anyone here know how to calculate the final drive ratio from counting the teeth on the differential gear(pinion gear? as in ring and pinion gear) the last big damn gear on the diff. I have one sitting on my desk from my old tranny and i wanted to know which final drive it was. I've tried those calculator sites, where you input tire size and such, but nothing matched. Oh it is off a crx. Just not sure if it was a Hf dx or si.

The one on the diff is the ring gear. You can easily get the ratio if you have both gears. Just divide the larger one by the smaller one.
