Couldnt find it in a search...Reusing coolant?
Hey guys,
I'm about to install a Koyo aluminum radiator, and being that the coolant in my car is less than a year old, i was thinking about reusing it after i drained it. I know its been a debated topic over and over....but i want a more recent opinion...
this is honda type2 coolant (turquoise), in a b18b1.
Yay or nay?

dealers around here sell it for 18? so i have to buy two, because of the koyo....
not a big deal to spend the 36 bucks, but its a bit different if its unnecessary.

So you spend alot of money on the engine and then refuse to pay like 30bucks for coolant. I'd never re-use coolant, just not worth all the crap that might fall from under the car into the pan and get in your engine.

i dont know where u got the idea of my refusal to pay the 30 bucks. it was a question of its actually necessary. and you're making it seem like the coolant is going through the combustion chambers and oil passages.
thanks anyway.

No, but it is going past the water pump seal.

I work for an Acura dealer, and the Honda coolant is just blue, no difference between the green. Buy one jug of green, mix it with distilled water, add some water wetter, and your good to go.
