Default Could this be possible?

Okay i made a post on my compression being REALLY low

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=585993

okay after all that i replaced my head gasket today.........

while the head was off i check the following:

piston rings and scratches in the cylinder wall. that was okay

check intake manifold for clogs. ok there also

checked valves for leakage. they was okay

HERE is my question.........could it be possible for the valves to be bent but still seat right? plus would bent valve cause Really low compression?

How did you check the valves for leakage? Only takes a few degrees of bend in the stem to make valves junk.

You may want to drop the pan and pull out the rods and pistons. If the rings or pistons are damaged, you may not be able to tell from the top.

Sounds like your valves are screw'd or you have a severe leak w/ the HG or something. Is your timming on? Maybe you bent some valves....

hope you figure it out...

at the shop where i am working on it at, they told me if the piston rings went bad they would scratch up the cylinder walls and they weren't messed up or anything.

although that theory may not always be right.

we checked the valves for drainage by spraying card cleaner into the head and they didn't leak out of the valves. Not saying they couldn't be bent, just that they do seak right.
