Cost of ITR piston install
I don't have a garage or the experience. How much would it cost to have these up in? Do i find an import tuning shop or any old shop will do? I heard you have to talk the engine out right?
You don't have to take the engine out. It just makes it easier if you take the exhaust mainifold off and the down pipe. these get in the way. Then off comes the head and the the removal of the pistons. You don't have to go to an import tuner to have this done just someone knowledgable about cars. Plus depends on what type of engine. If it is an ls the piston or rods have to be modified to fit on each other. Etc.

to do it the right way you would have to remove the motor and have the cyl. walls honed to go w/ you new rings. o wait i just rembered something about you can hone the cyl. walls while the block is in the car still, any one know?
Hmm I don't know of any shops around here i would have to look. I think you got to hone it right or you my leak oil? I dunno. There are some shops in Richmond. Thanks for the info. Any more will be appreciated.
Depending on how many miles are on your car you may noy have to hone just deglaze. Which can be done with a drill and a dingle thing tike a Christmas tree but no point it is a straight cylinder.
