cooling problem
whats going on fellas, i got a 1993 integra i just bought the car and as im looking over the car i notice that bottom hose on the radiator is not getting warm at all..i replace the thermostat and still nothing..now i know thats the return hose for coolant but it should be warm..the temp gauge doesn't say the car is over heating but when i drive the reserve gets full with coolant and nothing comes out the bleeder valve either.. You guys think my radiator is blocked somewhere????

The reserve will fill up as pressure is built on the cooling system above the cap pressure, which is normally 13-15lbs. Most caps are bad and continuosly fill the reserve until it spills on the ground. Replace the cap if you can squeeze the radiator hose cold and it fills the reserve tank or shoots it out of the hose. Radiator cap on of course.
The only time I get good heat and cooling system pressure on the lower hose is when its 90+ degrees outside. Your symptoms sound like normal operation. A larger radiator is a waste unless your engine is producing excess heat. (IE horsepower) The thermostat will open when it needs to.

If your radiator is blocked the car will overheat. Honda's do not produce a whole lot of heat, so the lower hose is generally cold and there will be little pressure on the cooling system. Run the engine at fast idle-2000rpm for about 20-30 minutes with the heat off, you should then notice at least a little warmth on the lower hose. The petcock is probably filled with silica debris. Quite common on most cars with brass fittings. IF you can run water through the old radiator and out the bottom with good flow, it is not blocked.
