My problem is the cooling fan doesn't come on unless you turn on the AC... it is hot as hell where I am and even when the temp goes up to where it should cause the fans to come one they do not come on. However if you turn on the AC the condenser and cooling fan both come on as long as the compressor is engaged.
Which then brings up an additional problem, the compressor will sometimes engage and stay on as it should for a few minutes before turning off... other times it will come come on and go off for about 2 seconds on and 2 seconds off over and over. I've checked the R134 and it isn't low. I'm assuming this may be something connected to the cooling fan not working properly. I pulled the fan timer module behind the glove box to see if it would do anything, and if I disconnect it no fans even if the AC compressor engages... and of course I can still hear the compressor doing its little 2 second dance.
Anyone had anything similar to this?
Is on a Honda Accord 2000 with the V6
