Default coolant temp sensor on obd1

i converted my obd0 crx si to obd1 with d16z6n and it has two coolant temp sensoers. one under the dist. and one by the thermostate. and i'm getting code 6 so i put the sensor on teh one by the thermo. and ran the wires to were they need to go but still get teh code. any ideas...

thats strange, when I converted to obd-1, i used the coolant sensor on the water neck and I have no codes. Are you sure that the wires are properly hooked up to the ecu. If you look at the coolant temp sensor wiring diagram is a mess, so be prepared

The temp sensor is the one below the distributor. The one on the thermostat housing is the thermoswtich for the radiator fan relay. Not sure about the code, but you were using the right sensor the first time.

YES. The big one by the upper radiator hose is the one you want. The little one is for the gauge only. The one by the thermostat (lower hose) is the fan switch.
