Default Convert Tachometer Signal?

I am installing a new tachometer in my car and I need a little help. The tach I am installing is for a 6 cylinder engine, and my car is obviously not. I have done the math as far as the tach goes and its about or almost exactly 1/3 off, as it should be. Anyway, is there a way I can convert the normal 4 cylinder tach signal to a 6 cylinder signal?

Help is greatly appreciated,
Here's a video just for fun, this is the Tach/Cluster combo I am installing.

Don't mind the audio, its horrible, and from a cell phone.

Thanks,
Scott
