Default Considering a B20

I have an LS. I am getting ready to boost and I am worried about blowing up my motor. ( I autox alot and have been for a while, my motor makes lots of funny noises. ) I have decided that I would like to have a spare motor, it will be a B20. This motor will drop in when I am ready to rebuild my stock motor because I cannot afford much more than a week of downtime. What do these motors sell for? Anyone know a good place to pick up a resonalbly priced engine? Some say that the head is a little diffrent, is the combustion chamber diffrent to line up with the larger bore?

yea a b20 shipped will range from 1000-1200 at the most. you may have hood clearence issues with the intake manifold so you might want to invest in a b16 longblock and just make a b20vtec.

Just drop in the B20 right away. Since you already have an LS, this can be done in a couple of days. Or if you can really swap fast, you can probably do it in a day. Seriously, going from LS to B20 is just like replacing a blown stock motor.
