Default connectiong sections of long tube header

I have an S&S long tube header on my 86 Accord, it's a two piece header of course, whats the best way to attach the sections together? I've seen some debate, some people say it's best to weld them, some say to use bolts, some say to use springs. I have a flex coupling so expansion isnt an issue, I also added a hanger and used the factory manifold support at the back of the block. ideas? eventually these will get ceramic coated, so if I keep them able to be separated they can just mask the slip joint if needed.
