what are the cons/pro of putting a b16 crank in a gsr block?

I can only think of cons.
Less torque, I don't of anyone that makes rods or pistons for that so it would have to be made custom. For the price of that you could build a pretty mean gs-r motor. If rod angle is the only reason for doing this then for the same price(probably cheaper because someone probably makes them) you can run longer rods and a shorter piston with a gs-r crank.

a ctr b16b block is the same as a gsr block, the b16b has the same bore/stroke as the b16a just longer rods and a riased deck hieght, so run the ctr rods and any b series piston

it is correct. b16b block is same height as b18c
