compression test results???? b81b1

Default compression test results???? b81b1

I just used a compression test kit from shucks.

testing for b81b1 obd1

in descending order....

4 - 150psi
3 - 150psi
2 - 150psi
1 - 151psi

they all seem constant. but is that or ??? any replies would help!!!

oh and yah i didnt keep the throttle open, and it was about 5 cranks. before i stopped.

thats good, as long as they are really close, and 150 sounds good

standard is 199 psi, and the minimum acceptable pressure is 135 psi. (from my haynes book)

That sounds about right. I did a compression test on my sister's b18b1 motor it came to about 170 for all 4 cylinder. This is with 110,xxx miles on it.

standard is 199, holy crap.. hmmm reason why i did the test is to see if its ok to turbo??

i only did 5 cranks i wonder if i kept cranking to see untill the needle stop hoppin... ? if it would be higher..

k so my goal was primarly to prep for turbo, only gonna be boostin like 7
-sum1 suggested i get it dyno tuned before boostin
-should i do it before or after ?? ?
