This is a 1g b16, its stamped 90.
It trapped at 94 MPH last month so I think she's healthy, but the numbers don't lie.
Can low compression hurt HP??
What are possible causes of such low compression in the #3 cylinder?

you should get a leak down tester, that will tell you if you bent a valve or need rings, etc. that will be your next step and yes that will affect hp
Is it possible that hitting the manhole cover somehow bent a valve?? I mean it hit hard!!! It broke 3 exhaust manifold bolts right off, smashed the donut and the end of the header and knocked the muffler right off the piping, like I said it hit hard as ****..
Will the loss of compresion get worse with time??

I don't think the man hole cover impact itself could cause this but driving around with the pinched exhaust could.
Low compression just indicates that rings are smoked, could also indicated problems in the valve train. Are you experiencing any blue smoke when stepping on the throttle?
I would also recommend a leakdown test. That will help you find where exactly you are losing the most compression.

Nope, no blue smoke when I hit the throttle hard, but it does smell like something is burning now at high RPM. I am definitely doing a leakdown test soon to find out exactly what that problem is.
Thanks for the replies.... BTW your avatar rocks!!
