Default Compression test on b16a2

Done a compression test on my b16a2 engine.
Cylinder 1: 180 psi
Cylinder 2: 181 psi
Cylinder 3: 182 psi
Cylinder 4: 153 psi
Is cylinder 4 ok to be that low?
Was done when engine was warm!

Then put a few drops of oil in the cylinder 4 and done it again, it went up to 180 psi.

Cylinder 4 is not OK, it needs rings, may just be a stuck compression ring, but if your pulling the head/oil pan to check that one piston, you may as well do a ring job. 94

Would it be hard to put in rings in one these engines?

If you have to ask, then it's too hard for you. Download the Field Service Manual or research the procedure.

You should do a leakdown test to see if the issue is the headgasket. It's normally cylinder 4 that goes when the headgasket starts to leak.

Would the 153 psi on cylinder 4 not wait the same after puting a few drops of oil in if it was the headgasket leaking?

Yes, the oil points directly to the rings, either way you will be replacing the HG.

How hard is it to do rings on that engine, for me it is a walk in the park, for you will depend on your skill level and the tools you have. 94
