Compression Ratios. Turbo D
I'm doing a SOHC Turbo setup(Z6 BOTTOM/Y8 HEAD) and need a few things answered.
1.) does anyone know the size of the Y8 combustion chamber.
2.) I'm trying to lower my compression from what I est. to be in the high 9:1 area to a more boost friendly flat 9:1.... Are there any stock Head gaskets for the D series that will do this for me? I know I can get a 2mm aftermarket HG but that will put me at about 8.5:1.
Thanx, any thoughts or imput is more than welcome!

why do you want lower compression? tunning? it does make sense to lower it (for tunning capacity) but if left it where its @ you'd be just fine. besides you'd get more power from having higer compression then you would from running more boost....

I'm trying to lower my compression cuz it will be nearing 10:1 with my setup.
that 1 point of comp will make it alot easier for me to tune.
I'm shooting for about 300WHP
secondly I will not have to worry about my gas (or at least worry as much) you can only get so far on pump.
