Default high compression vs. low compression

I am going to build another motor when I graduate and I was wanting to get some answers from people with experiance. I have a 9:1 turbo motor but I have looked around on this site and spoke to some shop owners and they say to go higher compression turbo like 10:1 compression. What is going to be better all around? I want the motor to make 500-600whp and the motor last a pretty good while. I dont want it to have to be rebuilt every 8 months. Some people argue with me that lower compression and higher boost will make more power than higher compression and lower boost. I think with the lower compression and running high boost numbers I will have to have a very large turbo, larger than my sc61 to make the power. I mean 9:1 compression it would take like 28psi to make 600whp and that seems like that would be getting out of its efficientcy range. With my compression I dont start spooling hard until about 3800rpm and thats with a equal length race manifold. I figured with the higher compression you would have a little more linear power chart than a huge power spike at 4k....

I just need some advice.

dont ever ask:

high compression vs low compression
b16 vs b18c
AEM vs hondata
eagle vs any other rod

these are all taboo topics on HT. they will be huge threads and in the end you still cant decide.

I went with 8.8:1cr and I'm happy with it... Basically most people go with 9:1cr for there street drivin hondas and have no complaints. And If you want more power raise the boost
