Default Compression THIS, compression THAT

well i've finally finished it. that's right, the b-series compression ratio calculator i talked about months (it seems like years) ago. i know of quite a few excel based calculators but most require you to know figures such as deck clearance and gasket thickness and i know there's quite a few people out there that don't have these numbers and would benefit from something a bit simpler.. well here you go. 100% flash based drag and drop setup.. hope you like!

and for you people that were constantly answering the "what's my compression"ratio questions (like me), now you don't have to say a word.. just drop a link.. you're welcome! hehe..

hope everyone finds it useful!

i thought about it but you could only use stock b20 pistons.. 81 mm pistons don't work so well in an 84mm sleeve.. hehe..

Bojangs you are my new hero bro! that was the best, so I added it to my favorites, of course. Although, I'm a little disappointed in my figures for my ls/vtec. 10.8:1 is a little low for me...oh well.

Good site bro! I will definitely recommend it to others.

i feel ya, my set up is only 10.7.1 oh well maybe i just might go ls/vtec the up to a happy number, 11.2.1 . have you checked the accuracy of the caculator? because it says that a stock Ls motor runs 9.1.1, i thought it was 9.5.1?? but thanks oh and what head does the b17 run?

Anything for skunk2 flat bottom valves?

BTW: without the skunk2 valves, I came up with 12.99. Thats pretty high.

but every time i press help for piston info i have to reload the page, otherwise it gives me "error" for CR.

yeah i know, that's the only bug i've found so far.. i knew about it when i published it.. it has to do with the initial starting values of the variables and the keyframe the movie gets sent back to when you close the windows.. both help and feedback do it.. i'll prolly fix that and republish but for now just be wary and try to work around it.. sorry man..

That's pretty nice. How much trouble would it be to add an option to specify milled head (.010, etc) or decked block in case correction for warpage is necessary?

i can do it.. i do need some figures tho. milling a head alters the cc's of a combustion chamber.. if someone could provide me with ACCURATE info of how much it alters it in .010, .020, .030, .040 mills i could implement it.. of course each head will be different tho, it won't be one specific universal amount. also decking a block alters the deck clearance.. if someone can provide me with accurate alterations i'll do that as well.. just email me!!

well its about .2 compression with every .010 you mill the head.
