compression check....manually?
I have a d16 sitting in my driveway that i am selling but i want to run a compression check....how do people jump their starters? i know the wire for the starter isnt long enough to reach the engine...so either i jump it or my question is: can i just crank the pulley with a wrench....would i get accurate numbers?
I have done it that way to check a motor before. It was an sr20det. Its not very accurate and you will get much lower numbers--but if it ends up a least over 100 and they are all near each other it should be ok. Its no substitute for a real compression test though. Just turn the crank pulley as fast as you can. You will get some numbers.

you dont need to jump it, you crank it with the key... I guess I dont understand the problem...
