Default Compression check

I have to do a compression check on my JDM B16 and i was wondering. How do i perform one of these? Also are there any difference in the jdm numbers vs the USDM bi6'scompression numbers?
Thanks

Remove all four spark plugs, disable the fuel system, be sure battery is fully charged, hold throttle wide open, crank- watch the guage for the number of "puffs" it takes to reach peak PSI. repeat for each cylinder. If one cylinder reads low- squirt a little oil in it and recheck- if the number jumps significantly you probably have bad rings in there.
