I don't understand the compression ratio in the hx is 9.3:1 and in the EX it's 9.2:1. If they had the same size combustion chamber wouldn't the one with the longer stroke have a higher compression ratio being the EX.And isn't the size measured by "cc".

i was talking about the opening, not the volume. but your ? qould be true if the piston dome volumes were the same, as well as vlve sizes..which could be

Agreed. Who knows how acurate Honda's claims are anyways.

The Z1 Cylinder head specs can be found here.

You can then input the specs to the calculator.

Thanks I think I will and then maybe get an SI and put an hx head on it 14:1 cr. That would rule.

Don't forget high compression and boost requires ALOT of tuning. 14:1 would be too high for a daily driver on boost, you'd be asking for trouble. 10.5:1 or 11:1 is possible though.

no, I mean keep the 9.2:1 boosted. Then get a whole other car with an a6 and put a z1 head on it. that woulb be n/a and the z6 will be boosted.

But I was also thinking about the Z1 head on my Z6 with boost using the hondata. At 11:1 how hard do you think it would be to get it in tune? I'm not sure exactly how hondata works.

You will need to tune on a dyno with wideband o2 sensor. You can use 11:1 C/R. Alot of people will say don't do it, but look at stock ITR's running 6 or 7 psi with no problems. They are 11:1. I wouldn't go very high on the boost with that kind of C/R though for a daily driver. Hondata with the boost option would be great for tuning this kind of setup, if you don't have any experience with Hondata yourself, I would just pay someone to tune it, that's what I'll be doing.
