Default cold spark plug, cold 10 - **RACING**

i am currently in the market looking for cold ten ngk spark plug...
my frd gave me some part number that he used on his lotus, so i order some in, but it didnt fit, B10EV.
i couldnt find other cold 10 that fits for sure
does anyone know any part number that fits, i need to buy 24 spark plugs, 12 for spare
for my s2000, ITR, and miata

if possible, i prefer 13 heat range
my car knocks crazy running on 94 octane, i had to retard a lot of timing...

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but an NGK heat range 10 spark plug is WAY TOO cold for your S2000 or ITR, unless you're making a shitload of boosted power (ie: over 700?). If the car(s) are detonating, you probably just have too much timing in them.

i only use heat 10 during racing. what my frd do is he run his car hot. then change to heat 10, so that he can start and race. btw, his lotus only has 110 horsepower, and comp is less than mine. it just gets rough idle, no stalling. and hard start.

I get mine from sparkplugs.com. If I can find them so can you. Plugs will not cure your overheating or detonation, just a band-aid. Champion N57's would be better but cost more, so that is probably not an option.

Yeah what he said! And why on earth would you run heat range 13...lol? That's too funny.

Here are some NGK part numbers for 9s and 10s that I run:

Stock No. 5238
Part No. R5671A-9 (Heat range 9)

Stock No. 5820
Part No. R5671A-10 (Heat range 10)

the 5238 is what a lot of boosted hondas run. they are great plugs for cars in the 400 hp range.

Jegs and Spakplugs.com both have NGK r5671a-9 and r5671a-10. I am running a Champion C61cx-which is very similar to an ngkr5671a-8--except the Champion has a cut-back ground strap. I have found the Champions do not foul as easily. You can try a c59cx or c57cx Champion--I prefer them over the NGK r5671a series. Also Sparkplugs.com and they were like $3.69 each. Champion heat ranges go in multiples of 2. And the larger the number the hotter the plug where with NGKs the larger the number the colder the plug.

The CX is a very good plug. The NGK is cheaper and almost as good.

I think at sparkplugs.com the NGKs (r5671a-7,8,9 or 10) are a bit cheaper than the Champion CXs--at Jegs I think they are the same price. I don't know if it has to do with the cut-back ground on the Cx--but I would really recommend them for a high-compression N/A application over the 5671a. The NGKs really foul quite quickly in my motor. The Champions don't--I have a set of 63cx on order--supposed to be closer to an NGK r5671a-7.

ok update....cold 9 seems to runs as great as cold 7 @ low rpm....
but during high rpm, it starts to become noticibly better....
i just got 36 cold 10s....hehe....
i dont care if it fouls easy, i'll just put on a new one...
hope the 36 plugs will last the next season
