Default Cold Air Intake - Can it fit?

I have a '96 Accord EX that I'd like to put a cold air intake on, but after looking at various cold air intakes, it doesn't appear that my mass-flow sensor would be able to connect properly. Instead of being a small tube that's connected to my stock air intake, it's a rather large pipe (almost as large as the intake pipe itself) which is then connected to another air filter.
My question is this: if I were to get an aftermarket cold air intake, is there any way that it'd be able to hook up properly or is there some type of "adapter" that I would need in order for the mass-flow to connect?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
(By the way... I can provide a picture if what I'm asking isn't making any sense).
Thanks!

If you order the correct intake for your car, it will bolt on without the need to purchase any additional parts.
