Coilovers - which to get.....
I am thinking of purchasing a set of coilover sleeves to replace my Progress Technology springs. I have practically new non-adjustable Tokico struts (blue's) that have maybe 3000 miles on them tops. I've had about every major brand of springs and I like my Progress springs, but I would like to add the adjustability.
When the coilover sleeves first came out, I picked up some junk brand and they sucked so bad. That was the harshest ride I've ever felt. To make it worse, they were on my stock struts which didn't last too long after that. Anyway, I want something that gonna ride smooth and work well with the Tokico struts that I have now.

is there any difference in the spring quality between Eibach (GC) and Skunk2 springs? My SkunkWorks coilovers have a spring rate of 500 each corner, and the rear is just too rough... I wasn't sure if there was a difference in quality, or if I just need to suck it up...
I've noticed that some manufacturer's allow you to select the spring rate that you want. What is good spring rate for a car that sees a lot of daily driving? I might drag it a few times this coming spring/summer, but for the most part it's a daily driver.
True coil-overs suspension is the way to do .

arent hks coilovers ~$2400. im gettin the koni/gc setup and i had a hard time finding full coilovers in that range that would give me the flexibility i want. i looked at h&r progress neuspeed zeal apexi all these are good but not dampening adjustable. since i had never ridden in any cars with thes ecoilovers and i would jsut guess which one is good i couldnt justify the $ for them over a suspension setup thats conpletly adjustable height/spring rate/rebound.
A sleeved spring perch design vs. what you people are calling "true" coilovers has nothing to do with "riding like chit". It's all in the spring rates, and what shocks you have them combined with.
Let's work with FACTS people. Next time, post this type of question on the Competition forum and you will be very likely to get a different (and more accurate) set of opinions.
Cracks me up when people start making comparisons like this. The only accurate comparison you can make at our level is cost. And I do believe the sleeves win. If you're prepared to get some "true coilovers", then get some Ground Control's with Koni Yellows instead. You'll save BIG BUCKS in the process, and you can spend the massive amount of savings on a driving school.
