CODE 54... car isn't drivable.. what to do... plz help~
Code 54 is for CKF sensor which tells the engine where Cylinder one is and when to fire right?
well my car starts fine but whenever i throttle more than half car just went dead..
checked the CEL and shows CODE 54

What year is car... motor etc.. You have a distributor on the vehicle? Could be distributor messin up.. ( Cause CYP, CKF, and TDC is in distributor.. hell just try putting a buddys dizzy on.. thats one easy way to do it...

CKP, CYP, & TDC sensors are in the distributor. But CKF is crankshaft FLUCTUATION sensor, it's mounted on the oil pump, where it picks up teeth on the crankshaft timing sprocket.
The CKF sensor doesn't control spark timing, the ECU uses it to detect misfiring. So I don't think a bad CKF sensor would cause the stalling you describe.

really? but my car isn't drivable.. whenever i shift in gear.. step on the throttle and the car just die.. what's wrong with it.. seems like there isnt enough gas going to the engine... i checked the CEL and it only tells me one code 54...
i really have no idea what to do right now.. i can't even drive the car to the shop .... someone plz help me out~
