OK, i just bought a new trans d15 5speed for my d16y7, i had a new clutch so i left that in i didnt mess with that at all..i just finished today. the car starts up good and everything, i have trans fuild in it and clutch fluid i double checked...but for some reason its when i hear it going into gear that clicking noise the car doesnt move..it just reeves up...i tried putting it in all gears without using the clutch it only grinds in 5th and reverse when i push in clutch it doesnt ...i have no ideal whats wrrong i know the trans is good cause got it from a car that drove ...anyone have any ideal what could be the problem why the car wont go?

It's either a bad transmission, a bad axle, or an axle that isn't in all the way.


Have someone put it in first gear with the brake on, then pop your head under there and see if the axle shafts are moving, if one of the axles is moving, then it's a bad axle.

 

hey thanks man, it was the right axle it wasnt in all the way..thanks alot....hey one moe thing you ever installed safc2? i hooked mine up but doesnt seem to be working...you know what settings to put on for stock car? hi,lo,in-out everything thanks alot again
