code 41 heater wire How to remove?
Alright guys i have a 95 cx hatch that was converted from 1 wire to 4 wire in the last swap which was a 98 y8 motor. I just put in a Ls motor and used the same 4 wire conversion from my ecu but i keep getting this code 41. I had thrown this code like 1.5 yrs ago and i rewired all four wires and the code went away. Do you guys think its possible that i keep burning out the heater wire?? I have tried 2 o2 sensors and still throwing the code
Thanks

Unplug the o2 connector and measure the voltage of the two black wires on the engine harness side, should read 12volts.... one wire should have ground and the other 12v, if not, check what you're missing.
The ECU is messed up - try another ECU.
Your wiring is messed up - get a meter and make sure there is continuity from each pin at the O2 connector back to its mating pin at the ECU (or terminating plug). Also make sure each wire is not shorted to ground. Make sure that there is +12v on one those wires when the ignition is on.
Your O2 is messed up - get a meter and measure the heater element.
Do you have a meter?
How about a Helms?
Can you get either of them?
If not, then what are you gonna do? You're left with visually checking the wires to make sure they aren't shorting against anything. You can make sure the fuse isn't blown. You can make sure things are plugged in. You've replaced the O2 twice with no success....if shotgunning is your approach, try another ECU - its easier to replace then the harness and its got to be one of those 3.
