Default code 3 with map sensors

damn motor, LS built from bottom up with my custom turbo set up is throwing a code 3. IT idles at 2k RPM constant and wont seem to lower itself even after long idle period. I tried lossening the throttle cable and adjusted the screw on the TB, still didnt work, then tried adjusting the damn distributor but that only made it go to about 1800 RPM still steady there. Any other suggestions. Thanks

If everything else is ok, you may have a leak in the manifold causing your idle to be high. As for the code 3, does it happen at idle, or when boosting? Check your boost bleed devices for the code 3, if check valves, maybe one is backwards..... Try doing the ecu jumper thing, while in diagnostics mode, disconnect the IAC and see what happens. If you still have a high idle, spray some carb cleaner around the manifold and when the car stutters, you've found your leak. Actually, a manifold leak causing your idle to go to 2k should be pretty noticeable. HTH. IM me if you're having problems with your map bleed devices, I have an electronic solution for you and all turbos on stock ecus.....

thanks G Im gonna check it out when it cools down a lil more. The motor I just finished fully built, I tried the IAC valve deal and the idle stays at 2k constant. I might replace the TPS and check for any leaks from the manifold a lil later since it feels like a 110 degrees outside here in TX. THanks I will get back to you and my email is synergy004@aol.com
