code 20??obd2 civic ex electrical load sensor???
what the hell is that? the speedo quit working too. I have tried replacing the plug that goes into the sensor, since it was somewhat corroded. the sensor looked ok, but I havent replaced that. Does that sensor have anything to do with the code 20, which is the electrical load sensor? thanks for any help!!!!
The book says to do various continutiy and voltage checks.
pin 1 on the eld blk/white should have battery voltage.
pin 2 should be grounded.
pin 3 grn/red should have 4.5v, should have continuity with d16 on the D (16pin) plug on the ecu, and should NOT be grounded.
If you havent found anything it says with engine idling check voltage between d16 and A9 (32pin), it should drop when the headlights are turned on. Make sure that there is no chaffing on the wires.

Just a link to help out: ELD Article 1
Here is another link, that if you do a search on back issues, with keywords "Honda ELD", you'll find another article on troubleshooting this code: Import Car Magazine
