it is only erratic when it is cold (when i first start it)

code 14 - IAC Valve (Idle Air Control) defective circuit or unplugged / defective sensor
are you having a irratic idle like it goes up and down? Take the IAC off and clean it with brake cleaner and let it drive out, then just plug it in and reset your ECU. that should correct your problem

im having the same problem, i thought it was my iac but it wasnt i bought a brand new one, and i still get a code 14? i was like wtf what POS, btw i have a OBDII, i have NO eraatic idle's, she just needs to be warmmed up by me when its cold out
so why would i get a IAC check engine light when it has nothing to do with the IAC???????? can someone answer this thanks

</TD></TR></TABLE>could be that ur wiring to the iacv or ecm is not properly connected (has an open).
