coatings?
has anybody had experience w/ a turbo motor and coated (heat) chambers, i/e ports, and pistons? How did it work out? Good/bad? If bad, what problems did you have?
Coatings are designed to enhance performance and protect expensive components. If you are blowing and shooting gas, coating combustion chambers, valves, ports, and pistons are a neccesity. You will increase performance by containing heat of combustion in the chamber reducing oil operating temps. Using coated bearings reduces friction co-efficients also reducing temps. Coating turbo housings(int. and exh.) along with header and pipes will reduce underhood temps. Coating internal engine components is like an insurance policy.
