clutch or tranny?
my problem started about a week ago, whenever i shift at 6500 or higher into third gear it grinds? not sure what the problem is here, my mechanic told me that if it were my clutch, it would be grinding or messing up in first or reverse. so i dont know what it is or what to do, someone please help.
congradulations, you have the notorious honda 3rd gear syncro grind. it happens on about 85% of hondas.
its expensive to fix and will happen again!
honda 3rd gear syncro is the WORST.

Not being a dick but it could be driver error, make sure you push the clutch all the way in before you shift.
I thought my 3rd was shot for a while, turns out I just couldn't drive. Seriously, especially in race situations where you get all excited and ****, you might not be shifting correctly. Or it could be you didn't shift correctly for too long and you fucked up your 3rd gear synchro.
One gear can grind and all others be just fine still.
