Default HELP!! Car wont start after cams are installed.

well i place in some new cams today and after we were done the car wont start anymore. it made a puff puff sound and a ehhhhhhhhhh sound. iunno if the cams are moving or not but i will find out tomorrow. can anyone help me out here.

on some aftermarket cams the distributor can be put on 180 out of phase(at least on the b18A/B) check that out

definitly sounds like you have issues with timing. When u did a valve adjustment, did u do it in the correct order aswell?

check the 180...
check the valve adjustment

from his name GSR boy id say he has a VTec motor but not sure..........better double check timing alignment.............

one of the guys who i was working oon it forgot to do the TDC on the pistons. ahaha. dont know if that made sense.

Let me clear it up for you...

Before they removed the cams.. they forgot to set it to tdc before removing the cams.

It "skipped" his mind.. LOL!!

So we just removed the timing belt, crank the motor by hand to find tdc(screwdriver in the sparkplug hole). and reassembled.
