Default Clutch problem or Tranny?

Wassup H-T.com ..It's a GSR tranny ...Everytime i let go the clutch the tire spins on neutral gear. I'm not really sure it could be a tranny, throw bearing or the clutch itself is causing it. anyone had this problem before? need info thanks guys!

I assume the car is off the ground when you get it to spin the tires in neutral..? Some spinning is normal in this case (drag inside the transmission), but you should be able to easily stop the tire with your hands.

Yea the car is off the ground, but i dont think you cant stop the tire if its going 20mph on 1000rpm (neutral) by hand . something is wrong it could be stuck on gear? thanks for the reply.

this is normal, the fluid inside your transmission is tranfering the rotational energy.... same priciple that a torque converter works on.

A simple check is to put on the brakes when the tires are spinning. If it's just the fluid transferring power, the tires will stop and the engine will keep spinning along merrily. If it is in gear, the engine will drag down and stall.

I should made my question more clearer. Yes, the car will stall, if stepped on brake. Thanks...

My brother had that happen a long time ago in a Datsun. What happened for his car was a seized synchro. Specifically, the baulk ring seized onto its cone of the synchro hub. Basically, that one gear was engaged all the time. If he shifted into that gear, OK. But if he shifted into another gear it was like 2 gears engaged so it locked up.

Other than that, are you SURE it's in neutral? Another possibility is the shift detent ***** or interlocks between the shift forks (or whatever Honda calls them...) One gear can become engaged when you think it's not.

did you just install this tranny?

do all the gears feel normal?

is it possible your shift linkage is bent?

what happens when the car is on the ground and you let out on the clutch while the car is running in neutral?

need more info man...
