clutch problem on 1st day
i have a 94 prelude i pretty sure its an si and either 2.2 or 2.3. but the point is the clutch screwed on me within 1st 30min of driven it i took it back the guy fixed it put a new clutch in for free and it screwed up again (it is only 100km old and already screwed).
the problem is now when i get to bout 3-4rpm the car just revs like crazy asif it is in neutral then eventually catches on. mind u it doesnt do it in 5th gear. so i just wonderin what i can do or what the problem could be.
when it first happend the actual clutch was smokin and stinkin. now it jst makes a slight smell prob cause it new.
help would be GREATLY appreciated. man i w8d years to get a great powerful car wit dreams for it and BAM screw job. PLZZZZ help would be greatly aprreciated.
how can i tell it it 2.2 or 2.3 ive asked but still cant find out.

You need to break in a clutch before you start getting on it. In the first 100-200 miles you should not be getting to 4000rpm. That smell is you burning up the clutch. try going easy for a couple hundred miles and not goin over 3000rpm and see how that does
thanks for that il try and c how it goes. and just one more thing to add is that its fine when the car is cold n fresh but as it warms up the clutch starts to slip more.
as i am new to pretty much all of this i realy i mean really like to know more bout my car and i guess cars in general. now i am old enough and have a job to pay for any mods etc i would wonder if any1 could refer me to good sites to read up on. i have ordered a service manuhal for my 94 prelude on cd and hope to look through it more. i also hope to posy before n after pics of the car as time goes on.

like said before
a clutch install is not an instant thing, I usually take a good 1000 miles to properly break mine in. I NEVER go over 4000rpm when breaking in my clutch. It is something you have to do, you cannot put in a new clutch and expect it to work like it is supposed to with no wear and it not properly mating to the flywheel and "running" itself into the new pressure plate.
