Clutch Problem
Ok so my GSR is having issues with the clutch. I get 8000 different responses as to what the problem is. Here is a descriptopn of what happened:
Last Saturday I went out for my first track session - clutch was fine. About 5 laps into the session the car all of a sudden became very difficult to downshift. There was never any grinding or noises. It just didn't want to go into the lower gear - particularly 4th to 3rd. I brought the car in and bled the system. No change. As the day progressed the issue got better and worse alternately. Occasionally upshifts would be difficult but the downshifts remained constantly hard. Finally on Sunday afternoon without notice I was no longer able to get it into any gear. Finally after some finagling I got it into 2nd and made it back into the pit. I bled the system again which helped marginally for a little while. On the 5 hour trip back home I found that if I pumped the clutch several times I was able to get the car in gear at a stoplight. Once moving I upshifted and downshifted without the clutch utilizing the synchro points (yes I know how to do it right).
My thought was initially that the clutch went but I had no prior warning (slipping, noise etc.) and the whole pumping the pedal thing got me on it as a hydraulic issue. I had some wetness where the rod goes into the master cylinder so this was my first thought. I replaced the master and the problem is still there - no better. The slave is not leaking and it holds pressure on the clutch fork. Is my clutch gone and it is being "masked" as a hydraulic problem or am I missing something?
P.S. - My clutch is damaged from the ride home but that isn't what started the problem.

could also be pilot bearing- anything that can cause your input shaft to turn with the flywheel when it shouldn't. which clutch are you using/ mileage/ driving habits?
