clutch making noise?
when I first got my car and knew nothing about it, I had a friend at good year get me a new clutch, and put it in, but it wasn't OEM. He said it had a heavy duty pressure plate, and could take a lot of abuse(since I was knew to 5 speed as well). Being the import hater he is, he can't even remember what clutch it was, but it was $500 bucks I know that much. Well anyway, the issue is...its making a rubbing or lil screech time noise when I push it down. It did this one time before then it went away, today I noticed it feeling "notchy" as I was pushing it down. And now when its disengaged, and then I re-engage it, it squeeks but if I pump it the noise slowly drifts away, then I let it out for a few seconds, push it again, and screech. I checked the fluid, and it wasn't low at all, but I topped it off just to make sure, but even when the car wasn't running, it was makin this noise when I push the pedal down. I was thinkin its the throw out bearing...but I mean the clutch has 5,000 miles on it, and I'm pretty sure I got a new throw out bearing when I got the clutch. BTW its a 94 LS Hydro. Anybody have any ideas? thanks.
I was told by someone that the where the fork meets the slave cylinder, needs to be greased? they said I should grease the pivot ball there, and then spray some lithium grease towards the other end of the fork, and it should work out fine
