Default Clutch disc and pressure plate same on Bseries??

I know that they'll all bolt up, but is the disc and pressure plate on an ls and gsr the same part number from the dealer?

The LS and GS-R have different part numbers on both the pressure plates and the clutch discs.

Anything wrong with bolting up the gsr's clutch disc and pressure plate to the LS flywheel? I know the bolt pattern's the same but any problem mechanically when driving it with this combo?

you could put either Ls or gsr they will work the same. cant use cable clutch on hydro tranny though and vice versa

I remember once when I installed the gsr disc and p.p. on an ls flywheel the bolt patterns lined up, but the pressure plate didn't "sit" against the flywheel when placed on until the bolts were tightened up. I removed it and compared the old original LS pressure plate and once I placed it against the flywheel, the plate and flywheel touched each other right away before I even tightened the bolts. I threw the gsr back on and the guides and bolts line up but it don't fall right in against each other like the original--is it always like this with new disc and plate maybe? or something is wrong?

I guess the new disc/plate are not supposed to seat immediately against the flywheel when first installed. I noticed that you had replied in the other post saying that the ls and gsr's pressure plates are the exact same part# so it shouldn't be a poblem; Thanks
