I'm in the process of replacing my clutch. I get the tranny bolted on and my crank doesn't turn. I didnt use a clutch alignment tool to put the clutch on may this be the prob? Yet the crank and flywheel turn fine without the tranny on. I also depressed the clutch release fork to simulate the hydrolic action and the crank still doesn't turn with the tranny bolted on. No the tran is not in gear when i try to crank. Advice is welcome.
Are you sure you dont just need to turn it harder? If the spark plugs are still in the motor, it will make the motor very hard to turn over.

Should it be THAT HARD. I put all of my 215lbs on the ratchet and it wouldn't budge. Oh yeah i have a second gen B16 with 2000 gsr tranny (s80). Would my B16 flywheel matched up to a GSR clutch be the prob.
I'm gonna go ahead and guess that you'll find your problem within the tranny. Does the input shaft turn over by hand when the tranny is off? If the answer is no, it's time to open her back up. Check for reversed synchro sleeves (experience

Thanks for the replys i found the prob. Apperently i wasn't getting enough bearing clearance, and it binded the flywheel. All fixed now. Thanks.
